Alfred NY - It was a well matched up afternoon as Chatham tied Alfred 0-0 in the Cougars first home game of the season.
The Cougars, now 0-1-1, did not come out victorious as they ended the game with zero goals. Although struggling to find the back of the net, Chatham had an aggressive game with 15 shots taken.
Junior, Helen Bossart delivered a strong performance with the most shots taken by the Cougars. Bossart had 7 shots, with 5 of those being on goal.
Alfred being more defensive, had only 4 shots on goal and 10 saves. In addition, Alfred only had one corner kick opportunity, whereas the Cougars had 8. Despite the fact the Cougars had more shots on goal and more time in the attacking third, the game ended in a draw.
The Cougars will be back in action this Wednesday at UPMC Graham Field when they take on Penn at 7PM.
