Loretto, PA - Chatham women's soccer team has taken another hard loss to end the week. The Cougars lost 0-4 against Saint Francis, the Cougars are now 1-4-1 and 0-2 in the conference.
The Red Wolves came out more aggressive than the Cougars scoring in the 7th minute of the game. All four goals came in the first half, and while the Cougars held firm defensively after the break, they were unable to find the net to make a comeback.
Junior Goalie Kyanni Escudero saved 13 shots on the night. She stood firm in the goal, having back to back saves from rebounded shots. The Cougars had 7 shots, 4 of those being on goal. Leading shot takers were defender Brooke Bennett with 2 shots on goal, midfielder, Maddy Bailey with 1, and midfielder, Amelia Anderson with 1.
The Cougars continue their road stretch as they face Franciscan in Steubenville, OH on Wednesday September 23 at 7:30PM.
