Ava Cinko, the native from Pennsylvania, has truly found her place here at Chatham. With being on the cheerleading team, Chatham has become home. Attending a D3 school has allowed Cinko to focus on academics as well as achieving her cheerleading goals. What sticks out most to her, is the community-like atmosphere that has been built here.

Why D3:

I chose Chatham University specifically because it was a D3 school. Being D3 allows me to make a perfect balance between academics and cheerleading achievements. D3 is a step above club which allows athletes, including myself, to have our achievements appreciated and honored. Lastly, being a part of the D3 community I have access to amazing resources that most athletes may not have.

What do you enjoy most about D3 athletics:

Division 3 athletics and academics have allowed me to express myself to the fullest and allow me to have my achievements noticed. Being D3 has brought me a close
community of friendships that I may have missed out on if I did not go D3. With being an athlete in this environment I enjoy the athletic trainers that we have access to as athletes. Lastly, I enjoy the competitive atmosphere D3 has brought into my life.
