The Bison held a 16-10 lead in the opening set, but 5 consecutive Cougar points brought the score back to 16-15. Bethany would stay ahead, leading 23-21 and eventually having 2 set points, but two kills each from Paul and McCabe allowed Chatham to come back and claim the set. Consecutive kills by Nagg would give the Cougars an 8-3 advantage in set two, but a 7-2 Bison run tied the score. Chatham would barely hang on, up by just a point at 20-19, but again McCabe came through with two late kills and Kintzer contributed a couple of kills to give the Cougars a 2-0 match lead. In the third and what would be final set, Chatham led 17-14 but allowed just 4 Bethany points in the remainder of the match. Three Kintzer kills got the Cougars to match point, and
Armani George sealed the victory with a big swing for a kill.
Â
Chatham had a .290 hitting percentage for the match, its highest percentage in 8 matches. The Cougars held Bethany to a .122 attacking percentage, and held a 46-24 edge in kills, the second-most in a three-set match by a PAC team so far in 2025-26.
