The Cougars would fall quickly in the first period. The Knights scored at 12:30 to jump out to an early 1-0 lead. Five minutes later, at 17:18, the Cougars responded to even the score 1-1. First Year Kowin Belsterling got his 7th of the year from Nick Babbie and Caden Pendo. The score remained tied at one into the first intermission.

In the third period, the Cougars would get within one goal of tying the game.
