PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Volleyball (4-0, 0-0 PAC) swept their fourth straight match to start the season, taking down Mount Aloysius (0-7, 0-0 AMCC) 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-8) for the second time in 2026 on Tuesday night.
 
Junior Tim McCabe was the match leader in kills with 10 on .667 hitting, additionally serving up 2 aces and blocking an attack. First year Derek Paul recorded 9 kills with a .389 attack percentage along with 13 digs. First year Armani George tallied 4 kills and 2 blocks for the Cougars. Junior Ben Shelestak had 4 kills, 4 digs and an ace, and sophomore RJ Nagg had 15 assists.
 
A Jordan Haas kill and ace helped put Chatham in the drivers' seat early with a 7-1 lead. The Mounties came back to make the score 10-8, but three McCabe kills and two Paul kills gave the Cougars a 20-11 advantage, and the would close set one with consecutive kills by Shelestak and McCabe. Mount Aloysius kept the beginning of set two close at 9-7 Chatham before an ace by Brodey Fitzgerald and a kill by Shelestak allowed the Cougars to win six of the next seven points. Derek Kintzer's kill would win the set for Chatham by 14. The Cougars won 11 of the first 12 points in the third set, and an ace and kill by Derek Paul gave them a 19-4 lead. Another Paul kill secured the 12th consecutive set win for Chatham.
 
The Cougars' .390 hitting percentage was its second highest in program history. The Mounties' -.188 hitting percentage was the lowest ever by a Chatham opponent. The Cougars' held a 29-11 edge in kills and an 8-2 advantage in aces. Chatham has now won four consecutive matches for the first time in program history.
 
Men's Volleyball returns to the Athletic & Fitness Center on Friday for a 6 p.m. match against Roanoke.
