GROVE CITY, Pa. – Chatham Women's Lacrosse (11-7, 7-2) fell 11-7 in the PAC Final to the Grove City Wolverines (12-6, 9-0) on Saturday at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Sam Beall-Dennell opened the scoring just over two minutes into the contest, but Grove City answered 30 seconds later to tie the game. Beall-Dennell would score twice more in the first quarter and
Erin Goodwin added another marker to provide Chatham with a 4-1 lead.
Grove City scored first in the second quarter, then, after the Wolverines killed off a 2:00 extra-man opportunity,
Sarah Holt found the net with an assist from
Tessa Hueber to make Chatham's lead 5-2. Grove City cut the lead to 6-5, then Beall-Dennell's fourth goal of the game brought it back to a two-goal lead before the Wolverines found the net on a free-position attempt in the closing seconds of the half.
In the third, Grove City put together a 5-0 quarter to storm ahead to an 11-7 lead. Neither team scored in the final frame as the Wolverines secured their second-consecutive PAC title.
Beall-Dennell finished with five points on four goals and an assist. Hueber scored a goal and added an assist, while Holt and Goodwin each had a goal. Hueber led the team with seven draw controls and four ground balls.

Rachel Luomala each had three ground balls. Beall-Dennell and Luomala each caused two turnovers.
