PITTSBURGH -Â On Wednesday, Chatham University announced the winners for the 2024-25 Chatham Campus Awards. The awards are meant to honor a wide range of students who exemplify academic excellence, campus leadership, and innovative thinking. The Chatham Athletic department was represented by nine athletes this year with the awards below.
Women's Cross Country sophomore Macy Johnston was awarded the Dollar Bank Nimick Scholarship, which honors an outstanding student majoring in business from the Pittsburgh area and is named in memory of Frances Nimick, former member of the Chatham University Board of Trustees.

Squash junior Sofia Pinto was honored with the Pennsylvania Female College Association Award. This award is for a junior of outstanding rank who has made an exceptional contribution to college life.

The Cougar Fanatic Award was given to baseball first year Daniel Miller. It recognizes an individual who demonstrates true Cougar spirit through their "fanatic" activities at Chatham University sponsored events. The award was judged based on personal qualities, school spirited activities, efforts to improve the quality of campus life, and overall love for and dedication to Chatham University.Â
Cheerleader Tiana Eicher won the Chatham Excellence in Writing Award for juniors. Chatham's Excellence in Writing Awards recognize superior achievement in writing at the first year, sophomore, junior, and senior class levels. Thanks to the generosity of Diane Neiman '65, Chatham has presented the Excellence in Writing Awards since the 1993-94 academic year.
Women's Lacrosse senior Sam Beall-Dennell received the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh College Chemistry Award, which is awarded to an undergraduate student who shows an aptitude for a career in analytical chemistry. Additionally, Beall-Dennell was awarded CAS Outstanding Student for Biochemistry.
Women's Soccer senior Ava Krepp was also honored as a CAS Outstanding Student with the Political Science award.
Women's Lacrosse senior Syba Ismail received the American Chemical Society (ACS) Undergraduate Award in Physical Chemistry, which is awarded to an undergraduate student who shows an aptitude for a career in analytical chemistry.

Men's Track & Field senior Ben Brown took home the ACS Award for Biochemistry & Chemical Biology, and Men's Hockey senior Thomson Phinney was given the ACS Award in Organic Chemistry.
