HIRAM, OHIO – Chatham Men's Volleyball (7-14, 4-8 PAC) took the second set of their PAC Tournament quarterfinal matchup with third-seeded Hiram (16-10, 7-5) on Tuesday night, but was ultimately defeated 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 25-21), ending their title hopes.

The sixth-seeded Cougars trailed 12-5 in the second set after dropping the first, but won 11 of the next 14Â points to take a 16-15 lead. Kills from
Benjamin Shelestak and
Logan Pack closed out the second frame and evened the match at 1-1. Chatham got to within 17-16 in the third set, but 5 consecutive Terrier points gave them the momentum they needed to grab a 2-1 lead. Hiram showed why they were the higher seed in the fourth set, and while the Cougars were able to stave off three match points, it would not be enough as the Terriers closed out the match with a kill to send them to the semifinals.

Hiram's Derek Chiang led his team with 14 kills. Kyle Martini recorded 11 kills, a match high four blocks, two aces and nine digs. Matthew Albano contributed a match high 37 assists and team high 10 digs. The Terriers hit .183 in the match and finished with a 5-2 advantage in service aces.

Chatham's
Logan Pack was the match leader in kills with 17, and Pack's 10 digs gave him his third double-double of the season.
Benjamin Shelestak recorded his fifth double-double of 2025, notching 15 kills along with a match high 17 digs and team high three blocks.
RJ Nagg dished out 35 assists, and
Luke Hoolahan had 9 digs for Chatham. The Cougars' .109 hitting percentage was their second-lowest of the season.

The loss will end the Cougars' second season. With no seniors listed on the team, it is possible that Chatham will return their entire roster in 2026.
