PITTSBURGH – Chatham Baseball (15-19, 7-9 PAC) defeated Waynesburg (3-13, 7-26) at West Field 14-5 on Thursday to complete their series that was originally scheduled as a Wednesday doubleheader in Waynesburg.

Nolan Boehm's base knock in the first inning gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets, who batted as the home team, scored 3 in the bottom of the inning to take a 1-run advantage. A
Devin Fluhmann sac fly in the second tied the score before Waynesburg countered with 2 more runs in the bottom half. Chatham would go on to notch 11 unanswered runs, beginning with 2 in the third when
Cooper Baxter scored on a
Kayden Leck fielder's choice, then came around on a
Dominic Obiecunas RBI single. In the fifth,
Nolan Boehm had an RBI triple and scored when
Ty Blackburn was hit by a pitch, a Fluhmann sac fly scored Leck, and
Angelo DeLeonardis drove in two Cougars with a base hit. Chatham tacked on 5 more runs in the eighth when Obiecunas doubled in Baxter, Boehm scored on a balk, Fluhmann's triple brought home Obiecunas and Fluhmann crossed the plate on a wild pitch.

Boehm was 3-5 at the plate, scoring twice and driving in three Cougars, Obiecunas went 3-4 with 2 RBIs and scored twice, DeLeonardis finished the game 2-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks and
Cooper Baxter went 2-4, walked twice and scored three times.
Devin Fluhmann also drove in three Cougars. On the mound,
Riley Baum earned the win in relief by throwing 4 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 2.
Kole Mayle got his first save of the year after tossing 3 scoreless innings with a strikeout and 3 hits allowed.
