PITTSBURGH PA - The Cougars played host to the Carnagie Mellon Tartans for a doubleheader at West Field.
The Cougars were sat down in 6 innings for game one, losing 9-1.Offensivley,
Anna Borst went 1/2 with a stolen base and
Hannah Chenault went 1/3 with a double. They would make up for the only 2 Chatham hits. On the mound,
Josie Underdonk pitched 4 innings letting up 8 hits, 6 runs and collecting 2 strikeouts.
Cailyn Lucas came in relief, letting up 3 hits and 3 runs overall in 1 inning pitched.
In game two, the Cougars fell 5-3.
Anna Borst went 2/4 with 1 run scored and
Hannah Chenault finished the game 3/4 with a double and scored 2 runs.
Isabelle Griswold went 1/4 and
Cloe Lopez went 1/3. Murren pitched through all 7 innings letting up 5 hits with 5 runs and tallying 6 strikeouts.Â
The Softball team is 4-14 overall with a 0-2 conference record. They will be back in action on Friday, March 28 against Westminster at 6:30 and 8:30.
