PITTSBURGH – Chatham Men's Volleyball (5-11, 2-6 PAC) took first-place Thiel (15-6, 8-0) to five sets on Wednesday at the Athletic and Fitness Center, but dropped the tiebreaking set and the match (22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 22-25, 15-5).
 
Kaleb Proudfoot had 16 kills for the Tomcats an .538 hitting and 4 blocks. Will Zimmerman and Ezra Oesterling both also had 16 kills for Thiel. Bryce Lizanich contributed 9 kills, 5 blocks and 10 digs. Eli Olszowka led the Tomcats with 39 assists, and Josh Hovan recorded a team high 11 digs. The teams were mostly even on the stat sheet, with Thiel holding a 64-60 edge in kills and a .259-.182 advantage in attack efficiency.
 
Logan Pack filled up the stat sheet for the Cougars, contributing a match high 20 kills on .321 hitting, 2 aces, 3 blocks, and 14 digs. Benjamin Shelestak also put up a double-double for Chatham, recording 18 kills and 19 digs, which were tied for the 6^th-most for a PAC player this season. Tim McCabe had 11 kills and blocked 5 Tomcat attacks. Rj Nagg dished out a match-high 53 assists, tied for the 6^th-most for a conference player this season. Luke Hoolahan tallied 14 digs for the Cougars.
 
Chatham will play their final home game of the regular season on Saturday against Geneva with first serve scheduled for 12 p.m.
