Women's Basketball Stomps Franciscan

Box Score PITTSBURGH - Chatham Women's Basketball (15-5, 13-3) picked up another conference win with a 98-36 victory over the Franciscan Lady Barons (2-19, 2-14) on Wednesday evening at the Athletic and Fitness Center.

The Cougars tallied their largest win of the season and scored over 90 points for the fifth time this year.

Hannah Chenault and Julia Calvin each netted 18 points to lead the Cougars and each found rhythm from beyond the arc, with Chenault finishing with six three-pointers and Calvin with four. Ashlie Louden chipped in 12 points and was a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe. Madison Nereu scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Alyssa Laukus pulled down a game-high 12 boards and tallied eight points. Charjae Brock had nine points on 4-7 shooting with five points and five assists.

The Cougars shot 46.1% (35-76) from the field and knocked down 15 triples while holding their opponents to just 23% (14-61) from the floor. Chatham won the board battle 52-41 and forced 23 Franciscan turnovers.

Chatham Women's Basketball will be back in action at the AFC on Saturday to host the Thiel Tomcats.
