MARIETTA, Ohio - On Wednesday, the Cougars (2-2) traveled to take on the Marietta Pioneers (2-1). The Cougars took an early lead and never looked back winning 12-9.

The Cougars used three goal first and second quarters to take a 6-3 lead into the second half and led the entire game scoring the first three goals of the game. The second half was more even as the two teams both added six goals in the third and fourth quarters to make the final score 12-9.

The Cougars were led by Tanner Marsh, Thomas Whittaker and Ethan Rinker who all scored two goals. Jacob Lubawy led the team with three assists. Jesse Corser-James led the team in ground balls with seven and caused turnovers with three. Also with three caused turnovers was Ethan Joshi. Brett Zaruba made six saves and Zen Smith added three for the Cougars in goal.

The Cougars will be back in action on March 3rd when they travel to Virginia Beach, Va. to play Virginia Wesleyan to play with a start time of 4 PM.
