AMHERST, Ma. – Chatham Men's Squash (3-7) was defeated by Amherst (11-8) on Sunday afternoon at the Davenport Squash Courts. The Chatham Women's Squash team (2-8) also fell in their match to the 13th-ranked Mammoths (15-5) by a 9-0 scoreline.

Sebastian Antonio Vaca Sanchez (11-6, 11-6, 11-6) and
Lucas Oliveira (11-8, 12-10, 11-7) both swept their matches for the men's team.
Alejandro Cruz also won his match by a 3-2 (11-6, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-8) margin.
Muhammad Hassaan Raza put up a battle in the four-seed matchup but narrowly lost 3-2 (11-5, 11-7, 14-16, 9-11, 4-11).

The Cougars were down four players in the women's match, with the rest of the matchups resulting in Amherst sweeps.

The teams will now head to Philadelphia for the CSA Divisional Team Championships from Feb. 28-March 2.
