PITTSBURGH, PA - It was a big night for the Chatham men's soccer team (4-8-5, 2-3-4 PAC) as they only needed one opportunity to take down Geneva College (5-9-1, 4-4-1 PAC) 1-0.
It would only be one goal that allowed the Cougars to earn three points tonight against the GOlden Tornadoes. That lone goal would come in the 27th minute of the first half from sophomore
Christopher Colonna who was assisted by junior
Xavier Johnston.
The Cougars would get just three other shots on goal coming from Johnston, sophomore
Hudson Struble, and freshman
Nico Gibbins.
The Cougs back line would have a lot of work on their plate as the Golden Tornadoes had 10 shots on goal, but it would be junior goalkeeper
Maxwell Cottrill who would make all 10 saves and earn the shut out tonight.
The Cougars will be back in action this Saturday, October 25th when they hit the road to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats at 3 PM.
