PITTSBURGH – Chatham Men's Volleyball (1-4, 0-0 PAC) split their two matches on Saturday in Erie, PA.

Their first match was a thrilling victory against Penn State Behrend (2-3, 0-0 AMCC) in which the Cougars came back from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 (12-25, 36-38, 25-19, 25-19, 16-14).

Tim McCabe led Chatham with a career high 23 kills in that match, 9 more than his previous career high of 14. McCabe also had a career high 12 digs.
Benjamin Shelestak recorded 15 kills for the Cougars.
RJ Nagg registered a game high 47 assists across the five sets.
Jordan Haas blocked 5 Behrend attacks.
Luke Hoolahan and
RJ Nagg combined for 30 Chatham digs, with Hoolahan recording 17 and Nagg 13. This was the first match in Chatham men's volleyball history in which the Cougars came back from down by two sets to win. The second set contained the most total points scored in a set in program history.

The Lions' Kyle Hoffman and Cameron Schleicher each registered 11 kills. Schleicher added a team high 11 digs, and Hoffman also had a game high 2 service aces. Joseph Sciscio recorded a game high 11 blocks for Penn State Behrend, and Caden Mealy finished with a team high 29 assists.

Chatham's second match was also a five-set affair, this time ending in a 3-2 (25-22, 19-25, 25-18, 15-25, 15-10) defeat for the Cougars at the hands of Hilbert (2-1, 0-0 AMCC).

Tyler Hassell led Hilbert in the kill department with 15. George Muriel did pretty much everything else for the Hawks, recording 5 blocks, 37 assists, and 11 digs.

Logan Pack topped Chatham in kills with 15.
Benjamin Shelestak contributed with 14 kills.
Jordan Haas also had 5 blocks in this match and added 3 service aces.
RJ Nagg dazzled with 10 digs and a game high 40 assists.
Tim McCabe followed up his stellar performance in the early match with 9 kills and 7 digs.

The Cougars will have a week off before they travel to Mount Aloysius for a 12 p.m. match on Feb. 1.
