PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Chatham Women's Volleyball put on an impressive display against Pittsburgh rivals Carlow on Thursday night, going down the road to beat the Celtics in straight sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-15).

Ava Plunkard had a career day from the service line for the Cougars, recording 6 aces. The sophomore also had a game high 9 digs along with 3 blocks on the defensive side, and contributed 14 assists in a breakout performance.
Becca Gesner also had a stellar game for Chatham with 4 blocks and 9 kills, each tied for team highs.
Paige Watson came up with 4 blocks for the Cougars (3-6), and
Zoie Bateman delivered 9 kills in a convincing win.
Natalie Keough topped the assists category in the match with 17. A .286 hitting percentage was Chatham's highest of the season.

Rebecca Hess produced 11 kills for Carlow, who could not overcome a .022 hitting percentage in the defeat. The Celtics (4-6) managed just one ace against the Cougars' defense.

Chatham's next match will be at home for the first time in 2024, taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 25 against Hiram.
