PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Cougars were shut out 3-0 by Arcadia (15-9-0, 13-7-0) in their final regular season home game. Chatham holds the seventh place in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) standings and will have a first-round playoff matchup against Utica.
The Knights were first on the board at 16:38. Shots on goal favored the visitors 15-11.
Under a minute into the second, Arcadia notched another score. The Cougars had a power play opportunity but missed all three of their shots. Entering the third, Chatham trailed 2-0.
The Cougars emptied their net with three and a half minutes remaining in favor of an extra skater. They failed cut into the lead as the Knights scored an empty net goal bringing the final score to 3-0.
Chatham finished the regular season with a 10-10-3 overall record and an 8-10-2 conference record.
