Angola, Ind. - On Sunday the Cougars (1-7-1) played the second game of the split location double header against the Trine Thunder (9-0-1). The Cougars fell by a final score of 3-0.
In the first period, neither team would find the back of the net with Chatham leading in shots on goal 9-6.
Louis Finnegan was in net for the Cougars.
In the second period, the Thunder opened the scoring and took a 1-0 lead. After leading the shots on goal 16-3 in the second period the Thunder took a 1-0 lead into the final intermission.
In the third period, the Thunder scored another two goals and gave themselves a 3-0 lead. That would be the final score as the Cougars were out shot 33-14 over the course of the game.
Finnegan was in goal for the Cougars and made 30 saves on 33 attempts for a 90.9% save rate. The Cougars will be back in action on Friday December 6th for a home match against Manhattanville with a scheduled 7 PM puck drop.
