PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Women's Basketball used a commanding third quarter to dominate in their first game of the 2024-25 season, defeating Penn College 91-35 at the AFC.

Ashlie Louden was the game's leading scorer, putting up 20 points on 7-16 shooting for the Cougars (1-0, 0-0 PAC). Louden was 4-11 from beyond the arc, leading the game in three pointers made.
Madison Nereu put up 11 points on 5-6 shooting and grabbed a game high 10 rebounds in her Cougar debut.
Charjae Brock also scored 11 points for Chatham and had a game high 4 steals.
Dominique Pacheco dished out a game high 5 assists for the Cougars. Chatham trailed 12-9 early in the second quarter before going on an offensive spree and taking a 35-21 halftime lead. The Cougars then proceeded to win the third quarter 34-2. Chatham was dominant on the glass, out-rebounding Penn 55-18.
                 Gigi Parlante had a team high 15 points on 6-12 shooting for the Wildcats (0-1, 0-0 UEC). Kenni Galbreath had 5 points and 2 steals for Penn College.
                 The Cougars will get right back to work at the AFC on Saturday at 2 p.m. against St. John Fisher, who defeated Susquehanna 77-64 in the first game of the Cougar Tip-Off Classic on Friday evening.
