PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Jan 20, 2024) - The Cougars had a quick turnaround as the Titans of Westminster College traveled to Chatham Saturday afternoon for a meet in the Sigo Falk Natatorium.
Men's S&D were defeated by the score of 222-37, falling to 1-6 on the season. Senior
Karl Gangloff had a 1st place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.28) and a 2nd place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:01.18 time. Freshman
Caleb Trainum placed 2nd in two events, the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 26.46 and the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.94.
The Women's S&D were defeated by the score of 211-69. They now fall to 1-7 overall. Senior
Abigail Glasspool finished 1st place in the 50-yard butterfly event with a time of 30.03, as well as a 2nd place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:09.81). Junior
Ali Cowan had two 1st place finishes, those being the 3-meter diving (234.67) and the 1-meter (242.85).
Next up for Swim and Dive is a two-day Western PA Invitational that will take place down the road at Carnegie Mellon University. Friday, January 26th and Saturday, January 27th.
