PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Sept. 6 2023) - Chatham Women's Volleyball opened at home with a loss to Carnegie Mellon. The Tartans closed the Cougars in four sets (20-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-21) behind 10 kills and 19 digs from senior Laura Reichard. Chatham recorded their lowest hitting percentage (.14) of the young season and struggled to get quality looks with seven setting errors.

Ava Plunkard (.286) and senior
Jena Williams (.263) led the Cougars in hitting percentage for a combined 21 kills. Williams and senior
Amelia Bogovich led the match in kills with 16 and 12. Plunkard racked up a match-leading 39 assists but had five of the seven setting errors for the Cougars.
Defensively, four Cougars defended 12 or more Tartan attacks, with senior
Meghan Dominek leading the way with 29.
Chatham will host Carlow Tuesday, Sept. 12.
