WAYNESBURG, Pa. - September 23, 2023 - On Saturday, Chatham Women's Soccer suffered defeat in their road match against the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets (4-3, 2-0). Following the loss, the Cougars are now 1-5-2 on the season and 0-2 in PAC play.

Chatham got on the board early when junior Allison Rutledge found the back of the net in the fourth minute for her first career goal. That lead would not last long, however, as Waynesburg retaliated with a goal less than three minutes later to tie the game back up. The 1-1 tie stood until the 55th minute when the Yellow Jackets scored again to take the lead and ultimately end the scoring.

The shots-on-goal tally stood at 16-4 in favor of Waynesburg, and the Yellow Jackets held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Women's Soccer returns to the field Wednesday evening when they host W&J.
