ROCHESTER, NY - February 25, 2023 - Chatham Women's Hockey traveled to #1 Nazareth this afternoon as the #5 seed after defeating #4 Alvernia in quarterfinals. The defending champions would defeat Chatham 6-1 in the semifinal matchup.

Nazareth scored three in the first period. It would take until the second for Chatham to get on the board, and they did so thanks to a power-play goal from junior Ally Nolan, who was assisted by graduate student Ashley Marchant and senior Brooke Almond.

The Golden Flyers would score to end the second, then twice in the third.

Sophomore Victoria Jeffords led the team in blocks with three, followed by Almond with two. Almond also went a team-high 7-17 in the circle.

In goal, first-year Sam Brophy made 28 stops.

The Cougars finished the season with 12 wins, 10 of which were in conference. Their accomplishments include a first-ever victory over #3 Manhattanville in the regular season, as well as three overtime wins and one shootout win.
