PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 24, 2023 - Chatham Men's Basketball has clinched the PAC Tournament Championship game for the second year in a row and visit the #2 seed Allegheny Gators at the David V. Wise Center at 7:30 PM on Saturday. Chatham will look for its second PAC title in the program's third finals appearance.

David Richards and the Cougars enter the championship game winners of five straight, with their last loss coming on the same floor that they will play on for the title. Allegheny got the best of Chatham in Meadville on Feb. 8, but the Cougars won the first matchup of the season in Pittsburgh by a score of 87-77.
Chatham is led in scoring by senior guard
Marcos Cintron, who is averaging 17.2 points per game this season, a mark that is third in the conference. In the PAC Quarterfinal win over Westminster, Cintron became the program's all-time leading scorer. Guards
Simon Boyer and
Isaiah Smith also average in double-figures, scoring 14.7 and 12.9 points per game, respectively. Smith's 76 triples on the year lead the PAC. Sophomore guard
Blaine Gartley leads the team in both rebound and assist average this season, with 6.6 boards and 3.8 dimes per game.
In Chatham's 87-77 win over the Gators in early January, Cintron dropped 26 points and Boyer had 21 points with five treys.

The winner of the PAC's Championship Tournament will receive the league's automatic qualifying bid to this year's Division III Championship Tournament. Forty-four conferences have been granted automatic qualification to this year's 64-team championship. The selected Division III Championship teams as well as the first and second round site selections will be announced Monday, February 27. First and second round games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 3-4.
