WASHINGTON, Pa. (Nov. 4, 2023) - Chatham Women's Volleyball officially earned the number one seed in the PAC after sweeping Washington and Jefferson (13-13, 6-4). The Cougars ended the year on a five-game winning streak to bring their record to 17-5, 9-1 to capture the top spot in the conference. 

Chatham had their second-best attacking day of the year, posting a .369 hitting percentage. Four players converted over .380, with sophomore Alyssa Leskovac leading the way with 10 kills on .429 hitting. Trailing Leskovac were seniors Jessica Taney (8), Amelia Bogovich (8) and freshman Paige Watson (7). The Cougars also served double-digit aces for the eighth time this year, tallying 12 total in this match. Setting the attack were junior Natalie Keough (18) and freshman Ava Plunkard (14) combining for 34 of the team's 36 assists. 

The Purple and Gray's top-rated defense held Washington and Jefferson to a .129 hitting percentage and 37 points. Meghan Dominek led the match with 16 digs and Leskovac chipped in 13. The Cougars sent back four Presidents' attacks, led by Taney's two blocks. 

This win locked Chatham in as the top seed for the PAC Tournament. Chatham will host the winner of fifth-seeded Westminster (17-12, 5-5) at fourth-seeded Washington and Jefferson (13-13, 6-4) on Thursday, Nov. 9.
