PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - November 11, 2023 - Chatham Squash split their matches on both sides at Penn on Saturday. The Women defeated Haverford 6-3 and lost to Penn 9-0 while the Men defeated Haverford 9-0 and in turn lost 9-0 to Drexel. Both the Women and the Men are now 2-1 on the season.
In their victory, the Women got 3-0 sweeps in all six wins, with senior
Valentina Della Maddalena (11-0, 11-2, 11-1) and freshman
Clara Braga (11-1, 11-1, 11-1) both holding their opponents to just three total points. For the Men, seven competitors earned sweeps. JuniorÂ
Lucas Oliveira held his opponent to only six points (11-3, 11-3, 11-0).
Squash returns to action Dec. 1 when they travel to Cornell to take on the Big Red.
