WAYNESBURG, Pa. - October 28, 2023 - Chatham Men's Soccer saw its season come to a close with a 3-1 loss in the PAC Quarterfinal against the four-seeded Waynesburg Yellow Jackets (10-6-2) on Saturday at John F. Wiley Stadium. The Cougars finish the season with a 6-9-3 record.

The Yellow Jackets dominated the possession early and got on the board first in the 13th minute with a header from a throw-in. Waynesburg would score again in the 26th and 35th minutes to increase their lead to 3-0. Cougar freshman Luke Matzelle buried a rebound off a shot from Azavier Coppin in the 60th minute to cut the lead to 3-1, but the Yellow Jackets answered in the 73rd minute to regain a three-goal lead.

Coppin saw multiple shot attempts fly just wide of the post and had a potential goal nullified due to a handball on the pass. Freshman Colin Sullivan led the team with two shots on goal. Corner kicks were 6-1 in favor of Waynesburg.
