HUNTINGDON, Pa. - September 1, 2022 - Chatham Women's Soccer opened their season on the road against Juniata Thursday night. The Cougars snatched a 2-1 victory thanks to a goal from freshman midfielder Halle Marsalis in the 89th minute.

The Cougars opened the scoring for the game and the season when senior midfielder Oliva Wood found the back of the net in the 20th minute.

Juniata looked poised to steal a draw with a goal from senior midfielder Helen Chavez in the 84th minute, before Marsalis's heroics soon thereafter.

Wood led the Cougars with three shots, all on goal. Chatham held the overall advantage in shots (13-8) and shots on goal (5-2)

Chatham Women's Soccer is back in action Sunday afternoon with another road contest against Misericordia.
