LATROBE, Pa. - May 2, 2022 - Chatham Women's Lacrosse traveled to Saint Vincent College this afternoon for their final matchup of the season. In the high-scoring affair, the Bearcats would come out on top with a 19-13 win.
The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with Stephanie Walter striking twice early to put the Cougars ahead. Bailey Donofrio would join in to later tie the game at three before Walter completed her hat trick to re-tie the game at four.
Walter scored yet again in the second, with the only other Chatham goal being netted by Rachel Borucki.
First-years Syba Ismail and Jordyn Gutshall would both score to round out their rookie campaigns in the third quarter before Borucki and Brielle Rapsas scored the final goals of their careers in the fourth, supplemented by three more goals from Walter.
Stephanie Walter would finish the game with eight points on seven goals and one assist. Defensively, Aria Dietrich made 17 saves. In the field, Avery Redd had a team-high four ground balls and Syba Ismail had a team-high two caused turnovers.
The Cougars finish the 2022 season at 6-7 overall and 3-5 in conference.
