PITTSBURGH, Pa. - March 23, 2022 - Cougar Women's Lacrosse hosted Juniata College tonight in a non-conference matchup.

The 7-1 Eagles took a convincing lead early on, to which the Cougars could not catch up. The final score was 17-0.

Although no goals were scored, four Cougars had scoring chances that were ultimately denied by the Eagles' net minder. Samantha Beall-Dennell, Rachel Borucki, Stephanie Walter, and Anna Prendergast all found themselves with possession in front of the net, forcing Juniata to make tough saves.

Defensively, Kristen MacConnell caused a team-high two turnovers while also picking up two ground balls. Brielle Rapsas, Syba Ismail, and Phallon Kilduff each tallied a team-high three ground balls.

In goal, Aria Dietrich made a season-high 19 saves.

The Cougars' next matchups come this weekend, first at Waynesburg on Saturday and then at Wilson on Sunday.
