PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 26, 2022 - Chatham University Women's Lacrosse hosted cross-town opponent La Roche University this afternoon for their home-opening match of 2022. The Cougars, after a seven-goal first quarter, maintained the massive lead to finish the game with a 18-1 victory.

Rachel Borucki started the scoring party for the Cougars within the first minute, and it was downhill for the Redhawks from there. Borucki would score herself a hat trick as one of five Cougars to do so today.

With three goals apiece, veterans Brielle Rapsas, Stephanie Walter, and Phallon Kilduff provided the offensive drive. In her official collegiate debut, first-year Samantha Beall-Dennell would score her first goal and consequent hat trick.

Returners Anna Prendergast and Bailey Donofrio also got in on the offensive action, scoring the remaining two and one goals respectively.

In net, Aria Dietrich made six saves, allowing just one goal in the victory.

The Cougars look to extend their win streak on their trip to Savannah, Georgia on March 6th against the Savannah College of Art and Design.
