Box Score ROCHESTER, NY - February 26, 2022 – Chatham University Women's Hockey made it to the UCHC Semifinal for the second season in a row and faced #1 Nazareth College on their own ice. The Cougars would score the first goal of the game, which was their first goal on Nazareth all season, but ultimately fell 4-1 after the Golden Flyers mounted a comeback.
Sophomore
Allison Corser-James would find the back of the net for the Cougars halfway through the first all by herself. This would be the lone goal of the period, with senior goaltender
Katy Reed stopping all 13 shots she faced.
In the second, Nazareth would find some offensive luck. They would score two goals, one on the power play, while firing off another 19 shots.
In the third period, the Cougars got defensive and only allowed eight Golden Flyer shots, but two of them found the back of the net late in the final stanza. Reed finished the game with 36 saves. For the contest, Chatham was outshot 40-13.
With another record-breaking season in the books, the Chatham women's hockey team's final record for 2021-22 finished at 16-11 overall and 12-8 in UCHC play after back-to-back UCHC semifinal appearances.
