WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – February 26, 2022 – The Chatham University men's hockey team's magical season came to an end in the UCHC Semifinals on Saturday evening, coming at the hands of No. 9 Wilkes by a 5-1 final score.
 
It was a dream start for the Cougars when first-year Matthew Doyle scored the first goal of the game just 2:35 into the contest after getting an assist from senior Jason Bauer. Unfortunately, the Colonels would go on to score the next five goals.
 
Wilkes struck twice in the first and three times in the second to put the score at 5-1. The Cougars held the hosts scoreless through the third period, which ended the game at the 5-1 tally. Chatham was outshot 41-35 for the game, and senior Ricardo Gonzalez made 36 saves in the final game of the season.
 
The Cougars' season ends with a final record of 10-13-2 overall and an 8-8-2 conference record, both program records.
