GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--Washington & Jefferson College and Chatham University scored semifinals wins in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament Thursday night and will meet in the title game Saturday.
Top-seeded W&J (23-4) secured a 66-61 win over No. 5 Waynesburg University (14-13) at the Salvitti Family Gymnasium in Washington. Second-seeded Chatham (21-4) earned a 72-62 victory over No. 3 Westminster College (17-9) at the Athletics and Fitness Center in Pittsburgh.
Saturday's title game will be hosted by W&J. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students. PAC and institutional passes are not accepted at PAC Championship events. Students from host institutions will be admitted for free with a valid college ID.
The winner of the PAC's Championship Tournament will receive the league's automatic qualifying bid to this year's Division III Championship Tournament. Forty-four conferences have been granted automatic qualification to this year's 64-team championship. The selected Division III Championship teams as well as the first and second round site selections will be announced Monday, February 28 on ncaa.com. First and second round games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 4-5.
