Squash Sweeps St. Lawrence on Senior Night

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - December 9, 2022 - Chatham Men's and Women's Squash matched up with St. Lawrence Friday evening on senior night for each of the programs. In each of their last home matches of the season, the Men's team won 6-3 while the Women's earned a 5-4 victory. The Women are now 4-3 on the season while the Men are 5-2.

The Men earned wins from Alejandro Cruz, Mohamed Sadek, Haidar Jafry, Lucas Oliveira and Agustin Carranza. The Women saw victories from Basmala Syed Aref, Sofia Ramos Fortanelli, Vasundhra Vasanthan, Valentina Della Maddalena and Sofia Pinto.

Before the match, seniors Bandhana Phuyal, Giavanna Gibson, Yukta Rana, Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik, Mohamed Sadek, Abdul Malik Khan were honored with the senior night ceremony.

Men's and Women's Squash will be back in action in the new year on Jan. 14 at the University of Virginia.
