Women's Squash Earns 5-4 Win Over Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - November 19, 2022 - Chatham Women's Squash won 5-4 Saturday afternoon over the Carnegie Mellon Men's Club team. The Cougars now hold a 3-2 on the year.

Basmala Syed Aref, Sofia Ramos Fortanelli, Vasundhra Vasanthan, Sofia Pinto and Valentina Della Maddalena each won matches, with Ramos Fortanelli and Vasanthan each earning 3-0 wins.

The contest was knotted up at four wins a side when Syed Aref pulled out a tightly contested 3-1 win with scores of 11-7, 11-6, 10-12, 11-9.

Women's Squash will be back on Dec. 3 against Haverford.
