Men’s Squash Falls to #7 Drexel

LANCASTER, Pa. - November 12, 2022 - Chatham Men's Squash played their second match of the day today against Drexel, who is currently ranked seventh in college squash. Drexel would win the match 8-1.

Numbers nine and ten Haidar Jafry and Alejandro Cruz both recorded wins; Jafry in four sets and Cruz in five.

Agustin Carranza and Lucas Oliveira would both steal a set from their opponents, and the other Cougars would fall 3-0.

Sebastian Antonio Vaca Sanchez had an extended battle with Drexel's Haris Qasim, taking 13 points to end the set. Carranza's set win finally ended at 17-15.

For the three-set losses, Abdul Malik scored 19 points, Muhammad Hassaan Raza tallied 24, Jared Nalliah had 20, and Sanchez scored 23.

The Cougars are projected to play one final match tomorrow in Lancaster before returning to Pittsburgh for their first home match of the season on November 18.
