PITTSBURGH, Pa. - October 8, 2022 - Chatham Men's Soccer earned a 3-1 home win over Thiel Saturday afternoon at UPMC Graham Field. The Cougars are now 2-8-2 on the season and 1-4-1 in PAC play.
The Cougars battled back after falling behind early. The Tomcats scored in the 17th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but freshman defender
Daniel Gitman knotted things up right before halftime. Junior defender
Timmy Creamer assisted on the goal.
The second half was more favorable for the Cougars, who got scores from senior defender
Gunnar Graham and senior
Leandro Nasso. Graham's goal, his first of the season, came off a cross in from a free kick by senior midfielder
Emmet Taub, and Nasso's goal came directly off of a free kick.
Gitman led the Cougars with three shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Trevor Rose got his first win of the season in net for Chatham.
Chatham Men's Soccer will be back to the grind Wednesday evening for a road matchup against Franciscan.
