Box Score LATROBE, Pa. - October 19, 2022 - Chatham Volleyball traveled to Saint Vincent College tonight for a PAC matchup. After winning the first set 25-21, the Cougars would ultimately fall 3-1 after set wins of 25-19, 25-18, and 27-25 by the Bearcats.
Set one was Chatham's from the start as their offense was supplied by juniors Amelia Bogovich and Delaney O'Shea as well as first-year Alyssa Leskovac. Sophomore Jessica Taney would tap in for multiple kills as well, helping the Cougars to end the set in their favor.
Saint Vincent would step up both offensively and defensively in sets two through four, making it difficult for the Cougars to continue on with their momentum.
With the match on the line at 24-23 Bearcats in the fourth, Alyssa Leskovac would come up big with two straight kills to keep the Cougars alive and even take the lead. Unfortunately, Saint Vincent would answer with three straight points.
Despite the loss, Alyssa Leskovac recorded 27 kills, just one shy of her career best. Bogovich and O'Shea trailed with eight each, as did Taney with six.
Junior Aaleyiah Williams topped the Chatham charts with two blocks. Classmate Meghan Dominek recorded a game high 34 digs and senior Shaelah Pepperman supplied 42 assists.
The Cougars now stand at 3-4 in conference with three contests to go. Their next matchup is Saturday, October 22nd at noon against Geneva for senior day.
