LANCASTER, Pa. - January 22-23, 2022 - Chatham University Squash played their final there games of the weekend, beginning with a dual match against Bowdoin and finishing with a men's matchup against St. Lawrence. The Women's team ultimately fell to #18 Bowdoin 2-7 while the Men defeated Bowdoin and St. Lawrence by a final of 6-3 in both matches.

Sophomores Sofia Ramos Fortanelli and Valentina Della Maddalena both won against their opponents in the second and third wave 3-1. The two wins would be the only victories for the Cougars.

The Men's team saw tighter competition. After the first wave, the Cougars were down 2-1 with Lucas Oliveira being the only winner. In the second wave, Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik won 3-1 to tie things up, then #2 Jared Nalliah save the Cougars the lead with a 3-0 win. Mohamed Sadek would win a tough 3-2 battle before Abdul Malik clinched the match's win with a 3-1 effort over Bowdoin's #1.

Against Saint Lawrence on Sunday, the Men would play to yet another win. After a tough 3-0 loss for Malik, Jared Nalliah would sweep Luis Moncada Gonzalez of the Saints. Next to win were Owais Rasheed (3-1), Lucas Oliveira (3-0), Mohamed Sadek (3-0), Haidar Jafry (3-1) and Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik (3-0).
