PITTSBURGH, Pa. - March 29, 2021 - Chatham Softball hosted Westminster tonight in the final non-conference matchups of the 2021 season. Both games spanned five innings, with Westminster coming out on top of eight and nine run leads.
In game one, the Titans left the Cougars scoreless. Chatham registered four hits, coming in the form of singles from Mackenzie Dunn, Lauren Haak, Lauren McNany, and Alyssa Hoffman.
Game two saw two runs from the Cougars who again notched four hits. Sophomore Justine Boyle led the charge with two singles, followed by another single from Haak and a double from left fielder Julie Swedberg.
Westminster's relentless hitting put them ahead early in both games, leaving Chatham little opportunity to catch up. However, the losses do not damage the Cougars, as they begin conference play on Friday, April 2nd at Bethany College.
