PITTSBURGH, Pa. – March 27, 2021 – The Chatham squash teams blanked Denison on Thursday 8-0. The Cougars won all eight matches by 3-0 scores.
 
The closest match came in the third set of match one with Chatham's Abdul Malik squeezing out an 11-8 win to complete the sweep. Denison could not get any closer than 11-3 in any of the following scores.
 
Junior Vinicius Muniz gave up just two points in his match (11-1, 11-1, 11-0) and first-year Luis Moncada lost just three points, one per game. Elsewhere, Owais Rasheed (11-3, 11-1, 11-2), Alaaeldin Abelkhalik (11-2, 11-1, 11-1) and Charles Stewart (11-1, 11-0, 11-3) swept their respective matches.
 
First-years Sofia Ramos and Valentina Della Maddalena got the Chatham women's squash program off to a flying start with three-match sweeps. Ramos gave up just five points while Della Maddalena only surrendered seven total points.
 
The 8-0 victory marks the second time in program history that Chatham swept a match.
