WAYNESBURG, Pa. – February 25, 2021 – After a disappointing showing two days prior, the Chatham women's basketball team rebounded with a commanding 70-44 victory at Waynesburg on Thursday night. The Cougars improved their record to 2-4 with the 26-point triumph.
While the offense was able to bounce back, the outstanding defense from Monday carried over to Greene County. The Cougars held Waynesburg to just under 23% shooting from the field, with the Yellow Jackets converting just 15 shots all game.
Chatham asserted dominance right away, scoring 11 of the game's first 13 points, doubling up on Waynesburg in the first quarter and leading by double digits for the majority of the first quarter.
