PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - November 13, 2021 - Chatham Squash entered day two of their Philadelphia series with matches against Penn and Dickinson. 

Both squads were ultimately shutout by Penn 9-0 and 6-0 respectively, but the men would bounce back with a convincing 8-1 win over Dickinson in the afternoon.

Securing wins for the Cougars were #7 Mohamed Sadek, #5 Owais Rasheed, #8 Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik, #6 Lucas Oliveira, #3 Agustin Carranza, #9 Vinicius Ennius Muniz, #4 Jared Nalliah, and #2 Luis Moncada Gonzalez.

"It was an overall good, hard battle after all the adversity we've faced on this road journey to Philly," said Head Coach Chris Fernandez. "I'm very proud of how we handled this adversity and rolled with the punches."

The women's team is still looking for its first win of the trip, but not for lack of trying.

"On the women's side, Sofia Ramos Fortanelli lost a hard-fought 3-2 battle," recapped Fernandez. 

The Cougars face their last opponent of their eastern Pennsylvania showcase tomorrow against Franklin and Marshall at 9:30 AM.
