PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - November 12, 2021 - Chatham University Squash traveled to Philadelphia earlier today to compete against Drexel University, ranked #5 and #6 for men and women respectively. Both Cougar teams were shutout 9-0.
On the men's side, sophomore Owais Rasheed took home the only set win, defeating Drexel's Noel Heaton 11-8. Mohamed Sadek had a close set against Jose Andres Lopez, but ultimately fell 13-11.
On the women's side, Sofia Ramos Fortanelli and Valentina Della Maddalena both put up a valiant fight, coming up with scores of 11-8 and 11-9 respectively. The Cougars unfortunately did not secure a single set.
Chatham has the chance to improve their record tomorrow, November 13th, as they challenge the University of Pennsylvania and Dickinson College.
