PITTSBURGH, Pa. – September 16, 2020 – Chatham University's Head Athletic Trainer Renee Isaac has accepted a new position at OrthoTech with the Allegheny Health Network.
 
"Renee has done a tremendous job for the department," said Leonard Trevino, Director of Athletics. "She will be missed and I want to thank her for everything she has done for our student-athletes, coaches, and Chatham community."
 
Isaac has been an integral part of Chatham's athletic successes since joining the university in 2017. She was also able to share her wealth of knowledge and experience in a classroom setting. At Chatham, Isaac taught Kinesiology Lab, Intro to Professional Careers, Intro to Careers in Athletic Training, and Orthopedic and Neurologic Assessment II. Additionally, she acted as a Clinical Preceptor for the Athletic Training programs at not only Chatham, but also Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh.
 
Her contributions were notable in many of Chatham's firsts. Isaac has served as an athletic trainer for the men's lacrosse team since its inaugural season in 2018 and once again aided the men's soccer team with their program start in 2019. In the 2018-19 season, Isaac was essential in ensuring the health of the men's basketball team as they won their first-ever PAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Over the course of her career at Chatham, Isaac has worked with teams across all three seasons. Among these teams were Men's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving, Cross Country, and both Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field.
 
"Leaving Chatham University is one of the hardest decisions I have ever made," said Isaac. "Even though I know it's the right move for me and my family, I will greatly miss all the amazing people and students that I have worked with over the last three years. ROLL COUGS!"
 
Isaac will begin her new position with OrthoTech on September 28^th.
