Chatham Splits Double Header Against Widener Thursday Afternoon

ORLANDO, Florida - Mar. 5, 2020 – The Chatham University Baseball Team splits double header games against Widener Thursday afternoon. The Cougars won the first game 7-6 then lost the second game 2-1.

RECORDS: Chatham sits at 2-6 while Widener sits at 4-5.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars face Gordon on Friday, March 6th to continue spring training in Florida. First pitch is set for 10 AM. 

Game One (Chatham 7, Widener 6)
  
AT THE PLATE: Senior George Cedeno went 1-for-2 at the plate, adding one run. 

First year Brandon Griener added one RBI.

Senior Justin Scarsella went 2-for-4 at the plate, adding one RBI and one run for the Cougars.

Sophomore Caleb Lehman went 2-for-4 at the plate, adding one run. 

ON THE MOUND: Sophomore Erik Napolitano secured the victory for the Cougars, giving up one hit and striking out two batters.

Game Two (Widener 2, Chatham 1)

AT THE PLATE: Sophomore Traynor Granatire went a perfect 3-for-3 at bat and added one RBI.

Sophomore Caleb Lehman went 1-for-3 at the plate and added one run for the Cougars.

ON THE MOUND: Senior Adam Cerar suffered the loss for the Cougars, giving up five hits and two runs.
