Chatham Falls Short to Bluffton in Game One the Second Day of Spring Training 5-3

ORLANDO, Florida – Mar. 2, 2020 – The Chatham University Softball Team lost their first matchup of spring training Monday to Bluffton in Orlando, 5-3. 

RECORDS: Chatham now stands at 1-2 while Bluffton stands at 2-1.

AT THE PLATE: The Cougars tallied nine hits. First year Justine Boyle went 1-for-4 at the plate. 

Junior Kelsey Benjamin went 2-for-4 at the plate, adding one run for the Cougars.

First year Alyssa Hoffman scored one run for Chatham. Sophomore Jenna Mulet added the other run. 

First year Danaya Carbajal went 2-for-3 at the plate, adding two RBIs. Swedberg added the other RBI.

IN THE CIRCLE: Junior Julie Swedberg suffered the loss for the Cougars. She tossed 6.0 innings, gave up five runs and walked two batters.
